Volunteer Salon Assistant Job at St. Joseph's Villa
We are looking for a Salon Assistant Volunteer at St. Joseph's Villa
Goal/Purpose:
To enable residents to get their Hair cut at the Salon by portering them to and from Salon area.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Proceed to floor and locate resident/nursing staff to help locate residents for portering
2. Advise a nursing staff member that you are taking the resident to the Salon for an appointment.
3. Porter resident to the Salon
4. Return residents to floor when appointment is done, notify nursing staff on the floor when residents is returned.
5. Wear ID badge while on duty
6. Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
7. Tidy area
8. Help with receipts and scheduling appointments
9. Gather and sort Salon supplies
Qualifications: Ability to communicate in English, knowledge of walker/wheelchair safety, comfort in working with those with cognitive impairments & frail residents, dependable, calm, patient, pleasant manner, work under minimal supervision.
