We are adding a Process Operator to our team!
Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and clean production equipment, including centrifuges, pumps, and valves
  • Work on a variety of processes, including Edible Oil, Oilseed Pressing, Solvent Extraction, Protein Isolation and Spray Drying with a variety of products (oils, fats, proteins, algae, etc.)
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes to improve safety and quality and increase the productivity of the plant
  • Work effectively with others as a team and ensure positive and productive work relationships are maintained within the department and company
Experience
  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude
  • Initiative, good interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Open to continual learning, team-player
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including moderate lifting
  • Grade 12 minimum, with above average mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of GMP, WHMIS, HACCP would be an asset
  • Fireman's course, diploma or bachelor’s degree in biotechnology or related fields would be an asset
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including days, nights, and weekends
