Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with all internal departments, you will provide legal and administrative support in Nortera's legal and statutory matters. Specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Take charge of the various files related to general, corporate and commercial affairs (including commercial contractual agreements with our clients and/or suppliers), mergers and acquisitions, real estate and litigation;
  • Prepare and update various corporate and commercial documents according to templates or as directed;
  • Understand and explain legal principles and certain contractual clauses to internal and external clients;
  • Maintain minute books, annual follow-ups and minute books;
  • Prepare resolutions, annual reports, annual returns, registrations and renewals;
  • Work in collaboration with external law firms depending on the file (Environment, Intellectual Property, Labour Law).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial and corporate law, in a law firm or legal department;
  • DEC in paralegal techniques or academic equivalent;
  • Experience in commercial transactions, an asset;
  • Knowledge of Canadian and American law, an asset;
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of respect and integrity in their work;
  • Manage multiple priorities in an organized manner;
  • Bilingualism French/English;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Be a dynamic team player;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative with little supervision;
  • Very good writing and interpersonal skills.
