What you will do:
This role is responsible for supporting the solutioning and implementation of data science projects. You will work with the Director, Product & Data Science and VP, Strategic Growth & Data to build the analytics framework while keeping revenue top of mind.
You can work from Toronto or Waterloo head office. Hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of data scientists and business systems analysts

Uncover and identify opportunities to increase revenue, drive efficiencies, and improve the client experience by leveraging statistical approaches against multiple sources of data including internal sales/transactions and external party data/benchmarks

Effectively communicate with people having different levels of understanding of data science and data architecture, both within the company as well as directly with clients

Work closely with our Experience Design Team and directly with clients to demonstrate the value of physical digital experiences in malls, retail stores, banks, and entertainment venues, and identify optimization opportunities
Education & Certification
-
Degree within a quantitative field
-
Masters degree within a quantitative field
-
Advanced experience with statistical analysis

2+ years managing projects
-
2+ years of team leadership or management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
Working knowledge of machine learning, Linux, dimensional data modeling for BI reporting, and design, development, and maintenance of reports in PowerBI
-
Experienced with SQL, Python, R, data integration, and web-based data visualization tools

Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts down to concise, simple, and easily digestible sound bites
