ORBIT HYDRAULIC (1988) LTD. in Grande Prairie, Alberta is now hiring a Permanent Full-Time Industrial Mechanic position.
Duties Includes:
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunction
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic system
- Adjust machinery and repair defective parts
- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul and maintenance
Wages and Benefits: Hourly wages $43.85 per hour, for 40 hours work per week. Dental Plan and Group Insurance Benefits are available to successful applicants.
Work Experience: Over five years of work experience in the trade or industry course in industrial machinery repair or millwrighting is usually required to be eligible for trade certification. Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) trade certification is available but voluntary in Alberta. Must have a strong command in English language both in oral and written communication.
Education: Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of a Three-to-four-year apprenticeship program.
