Description:

The successful candidate will be part of the Network Node team involved in the delivery of software solutions to validate latest vehicle network technologies. You will work alongside the automation architect, design & implement some of the foundational software components and tools used in automation. You will also provide guidance to team members on proper automation test library and test script development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Taking a lead role in the development of advanced automated testing solution. This includes testing framework and tools, and test libraries that interface with vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) which are consumed by internal and external teams.
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability
• Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
• Actively participate in code reviews and provide coaching to fellow team members on automation practice

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
• 8+ year experience in test automation and software tools development
• 3+ year experience in Python development and object-oriented design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of operating system architecture (Linux, QNX, Android, POSIX and Windows)
• Experience with automotive ECU testing and strong understanding in CAN
• Experience in DoCAN, DoIP, AUTOSAR
• Exposure to Intrepid and Vector products
• Experience with data analytics and visualization
• Analytical with the ability to produce creative and effective software solutions to problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and mentorship qualities to foster growth of both internal and external team members
