OPSEU salary 258 salary range for Instructor Therapists is $28.13 - $31.20 per hour.

Current Opportunities:

  • 2.0 FTE 1 year contract 37.5 hours per week with Behaviour Support Services & Entry to School Programs Cambridge and Guelph
  • 1.0 FTE 18-month contract, 37.5 hours per week with Behaviour Support Services & Entry to School Programs Cambridge and Guelph

KidsAbility is currently seeking individuals for the Instructor Therapist position. The Instructor Therapist will be working directly with young children with Autism or other needs, delivering Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services individually and in group settings.

The Instructor Therapist will also participate in the treatment planning function, monitor the progress of the children, and liaise with their parents. KidsAbility provides services in four sites: Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph. Instructor Therapists will work across all KidsAbility sites and in the community. This role may also engage with volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates for this position should have a community college diploma or university degree in social services, psychology, or a related field
  • Previous training and experience delivering autism services (ABA) to children with autism is required
  • Applicants must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work as an integral member of a team
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR an asset
  • Use of an automobile with public liability and property damage (minimum of $1 million) is required
