Job Summary

An excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional

The Information Systems Branch (ISB) is responsible for providing strategic IM/IT leadership for the Justice and Public Safety Sector, and for the provision of IM/IT services to support our sector program areas and stakeholders. This position is part of the Chief Technology Office (CTO) that is responsible for oversight and maintenance of a stable, secure, and efficient operational environment for our sector clients and their business applications.

The Intermediate Technical Analyst provides analysis, development, administration and operational support for complex multi-tier applications. This position is responsible for identifying and implementing modern infrastructure technologies within a portfolio of existing custom and commercial off the shelf applications. The position supports development and agile teams to ensure infrastructure and applications are resilient and performant through implementing automation and software defined technologies.

This position requires proactive thinking and the ability to recommend specific improvement initiatives which improve the operations capabilities of the team. They will be interested in learning new technologies, staying on the forefront of automation - finding ways to reduce costs associated with maintaining a large complex application ecosystem. They will be called on to help modernize legacy environments to make best use of modern continuous deployment and other automation technologies in a highly varied application ecosystem.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science or related field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Experience in investigating and implementing complex IT integration challenges.
  • Experience troubleshooting, testing, implementing software and hardware solutions.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux or container-based hosting environments.
