Team Lead, Senior Programs Manager
Part-Time, Term-Certain

Collingwood Neighbourhood House’s mandate is to promote the well-being of the Renfrew-Collingwood community by providing leadership and working collaboratively with individuals, families, agencies and other groups to develop and support inclusive, innovative, sustainable initiatives and services that respond to the community’s social, educational, economic, health, cultural and recreational needs.

JOB OVERVIEW
This position is a management position. The Team Lead, Senior Programs Manager provides planning, oversight and support for all CNH older adults/ seniors programming including but not limited to Better at Home, Wellness Programs, Special Prescriptions Program, Navigation and Peer Support, Oasis, and cross departmental work. This role provides strategic direction to ensure that all programs are working together effectively, as well as leading development of new programming, directing day to day work and leading budgeting, evaluation and reporting. This also includes human resource management, financial management and program development, community service development, public relations and marketing, committee support, as well as other duties as necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Leadership

  • Share leadership to assist Director, members and staff in development of direction, vision and values of seniors programs and services.

b) Financial Management and Fundraising

  • To monitor program finances, maintain financial records, and ensure budget implementation.
  • In collaboration with Director, to identify resources, develop funding proposals, assist with contract/ funding negotiations

c) Human Resource Management

  • In collaboration with Director, to supervise, support, develop and evaluate Seniors/ Older Adults Program Coordinators and bargaining unit staff within program areas.
  • Implement CNH Human Resources Policy and Collective Agreement as appropriate
  • Encourage and develop a team-based approach to working with seniors and work as part of the Community Services Department Team.

d) Program and Community Services Development

  • In conjunction with staff and Community Services Director to conduct ongoing needs assessment and evaluation of existing programs and services.
  • Provide quality program planning, implementation and evaluation by ensuring capital, human, financial and communication resources are sufficient.
  • Support staff to develop programming that is inclusive and accessible for older adults based on community feedback.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Combination of education and/or work and lived experience in related field.
  • Good understanding of seniors’ issues including barriers faced by older adults in Renfrew-Collingwood
  • Strong planning, research, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of older adult programs, needs of a multicultural/intercultural community, resources, and programs.
  • Experience managing and working with volunteers
  • Staff management experience. Experience in unionized environment is an asset
  • Experience in staff development and evaluation
  • Demonstrated financial management experience including budgeting, reporting and managing budgets
  • Demonstrated administrative and communications skills
  • Ability to contribute to and lead a team-based work culture
  • Strong English oral and writing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partner organizations to deliver programs
  • Ability to work in a multicultural/intercultural environment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a non-profit and volunteer-based organization.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work from a justice oriented and anti-racist perspective.
  • Second language skills would be an asset
  • First Aid certificate is an asset

JOB DETAILS

  • Salary: $33.08-$35.52 per hour
  • Schedule: 31 hours per week, flexible days. 7-month term certain position with possibility of extension
  • Anticipated Start Date: January 2023.
  • Location: Work from home / 5288 Joyce Street / 3690 Vanness Avenue
