Position summary

Reporting to the Technology & Learning Services (TLS) Service Lead, the Service Desk Analyst 1 is responsible for providing support for faculty, staff, and students at the Augustana Campus Shared Service Desk via telephone, requisition order (e.g. trouble ticket/email), or in person. Responsibilities include general administrative tasks, printer and classroom supply support and triaging of IT support for students and staff.

Duties

  • Respond to electronic and in-person service and information requests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required, including (but not limited to) issuance of University ID cards (ONEcards), mail/courier send/receiving, campus deliveries, client notification, and telephone/switchboard reception and redirection.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and resupply consumables for Campus convenience copiers as well as campus learning spaces.
  • Create and maintain documentation relating to Service Desk operations, general campus information, wayfinding and distribution of supplies/orders.
  • Assist Faculty, Staff, and Students with operation of campus learning spaces pertaining to operation as needed.
  • Provide initial IT support to Faculty, Staff, and Students for both campus and BYOD (personal) devices, escalating as needed for unresolved or ongoing service issues.
  • Remain knowledgeable about commonly used software programs (MS Office, Google Apps, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc) and provide support to Faculty, Staff, and Students.

Qualifications

  • The minimum education requirement of this position is a 2 year post-secondary diploma in Computing Technology or equivalent experience in an administrative or endpoint support role.
  • Experience in a post-secondary support environment would be an asset.
