Overview
Commissionaires Great Lakes offers an immediate opportunity for a versatile, highly motivated Security Professional. We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills, strong working knowledge of computer systems, CCTV experience, a positive attitude and the ability to provide excellent customer service, security and protection for our client's site. As a front-line representative of our company and client’s site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.
Scope of Work:
- Ensure that no unauthorized individuals board the ferry
- Respond & React to ferry alarms (familiarization/orientation will be provided by MTO Marine Services staff)
- Report for duty at the Kingston terminal, travel to Marysville to complete duties
- Conduct hourly vessel patrols
- Identify and report acts of vandalism
- Check engine room
- Maintain a log of events and observations
- Ensure that everyone who boards the vessel signs in and out of the log book
Requirements:
- Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid and CPR C certificate
- The ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols
- Strong understanding of computers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make quick and sound decisions
