Westfield Rise is URW’s new in-house agency that serves as a one-stop-shop to create innovative and dynamic campaigns using URW’s platform of best-in-class retail media assets and advertising capabilities. The agency is structured around 4 key revenue streams: Events & Brand Experience, Media, and new additions Monetization of Services and Data & Digital. It will focus on developing commercial opportunities and revenues through a client-centric 360° approach, placing URW as a key player on the advertising market.
This role is part of the Brand Experience vertical, which delivers consumer engaging experiences, memorable moments, and high levels of PR for the brand, whilst generating an important income stream for the business through Experiential, Event Sponsorship and Brand Partnership activations. Media comprises the targeting of the mall audience through the (Digital) Out of Home Media offer and integrating with online channels.
The sales manager Brand Experience and Partnerships is responsible for driving income in the Stockholm market and, if required, the Copenhagen market and wider European market.
Key Objective
  • Drive income for Brand Experience & Brand Partnerships business in our Nordic shopping centres according to Westfield Rise strategy, delivery standards, Business Plan and budgets.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drive performance of the Brand Experience & Brand Partnerships business
  • Develop and maintain a strong national and international brand and agency network, identify emerging and current global trends and target relevant brand led engaging consumer experiences
  • Structure key multi-year partnerships involving Nordic countries and multiple inventories and assets (360 campaigns) to drive the most value
  • Seek new and profitable opportunities - lever existing assets and client base to develop a stable and long-term income platform
  • Working alongside the Northern Europe and European Brand Experience team to deliver optimal assets to brands while maximising long term revenue to Westfield Rise and URW
Sales Performance
  • Jointly accountable for the management, motivation and sales strategy for the Brand Experience and Brand Partnerships business across Nordics.
  • Oversee regional activity and performance levels recognising opportunities to forge broader deals working with the Northern Europe and European sales teams
  • Liaise with relevant departments (e.g. Marketing, Centre Management, Leasing, Events) to lever assets, maximise income opportunities and enhance the consumer experience.
  • Develop professional and long-term relationships with clients, media, promotional and specialist agencies.
  • Oversee research leads and remain up to date with the latest brand/agency campaigns and competitor activity in the Nordics working closely with the strategy team.
  • If required, support Development Project teams to identify and maximize Brand Experience opportunities for new developments.
  • Work alongside the media team to compliantly deliver optimal packages for brands and retailers.
Account Management
  • Work with the Legal team to deliver appropriate legal agreements for all activities.
  • Ensure all account procedures are adhered to for invoicing, collection of payments and sales reporting. GDPR rules to be followed at all times.
  • Work using the CP tool and contribute to business adoption
  • Ensure all sales collateral, specific information and presentations are updated in line with guidelines and industry requirements.
  • Understand the approval/sign off process, including technical compliance, fire safety and health and safety requirements.
  • Be able to forecast revenues and deals on a quarterly basis based on pipeline
URW Standards
  • Ensure all communications are consistent, professional and reflect the core values of Westfield Rise and URW.
  • Actively seek best practice from other Centres, the global portfolio and external influences.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable (minimum 3 years) experiential and/or media sales experience dealing at a manager level with major brands and agencies (client or agency side), Candidates should be able to support and challenge the current status quo and provide clients with compelling and innovative opportunities for brand activations and partnerships.
  • Possess a continuous drive to push the boundaries of creating impactful integrated media and experiential campaigns
  • Relevant sales experience and a proven track record of selling Partnerships, Experiential or Events, working experience at agency-side is preferred.
  • Hold a genuine understanding of global consumer trends to leverage these trends to develop brand led activations and experiential/brand partnership opportunities.
  • Ability to build on their existing network and able to open doors at the appropriate level.
  • Excellent sales skills and Nordic marketing/media/events/experiential market knowledge.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working in a busy, demanding and pressurised environment.
  • Driven and self-motivated to deliver results.
