The Sales Associate team member works in a fast-paced environment that involves constant interaction with customers, delivering friendly and courteous service while explaining product benefits and fulfilling customer needs. This role also involves store maintenance such as stocking shelves, merchandising and general housekeeping.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service
• Guide customers to location of products
• Suggest value-added and related products by actively listening to the customers’ needs
• Fill merchandise on floor according to established practices and policies
• Reconcile inventories with physical cycle counts, as required
• Handle dangerous goods and hazardous products according to established procedures
• Maintain a professional appearance (uniform, hygiene, grooming name tag)
• Follow company, store and department policies
• Follow store health safety program and observe provincial occupational health safety regulations; report any observed or potential hazards immediately
• participate in meetings and all training, as required
• Complete other tasks, as required.

• Able to twist, turn, reach and work above shoulder level
• Able to go up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise
