North America's leading Property Management firm with over 450 employees servicing 60,000 homes is currently seeking a Rental Property Accountant. As a valued member of the Client Accounting team, this varied role provides accurate and timely accounting services to Rental clients across BC and Alberta. This is the ideal role for an experienced accounting professional with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, offering the opportunity to join to an effective team within an established, successful business.

Responsibilities:

The Rental Property Accountant contributes to the success of the Client Accounting team by preparing monthly financial statements and annual budgets for their assigned Rental Properties. This includes responding to financial inquiries from Property Managers within FirstService Residential, and Owners directly. Other duties include financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, bank reconciliations, liaising with external teams, and completing additional tasks as required.

Experience:

The ideal candidate brings 2 - 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably rental property accounting experience, with a focus on the use of Yardi Voyager. He/She/They has extensive experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and is highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

The role includes communicating with internal contacts within the organization, as well as external client contacts. Excellent interpersonal skills are key to success in deliver of the role, including outstanding verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a combination of excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and efficiency in completing time-sensitive tasks.
