The District of Lake Country is seeking a casual RCMP Detail Clerk to join their team. The Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support involving the review and processing of documents and services to the RCMP detachment, members of the public and volunteer groups within the detachment.

Working in the RCMP Lake Country detachment building, candidates should have excellent skills in dealing with inquiries tactfully, diplomatically and courteously, as well as having sound organizational, research and time management skills and exceptional attention to detail and skills to prepare effective and accurate written communication.

The preferred candidates will have:

• A minimum of 1 year toward a college diploma in business administration, police enforcement, or a related field;
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative position, preferably in an RCMP Detachment;

• RCMP security clearance or the ability to attain and maintain security clearance.
• A valid British Columbia Driver’s Licence preferred
• CPIC, PRIME, TEAM and JUSTIN operator's course completion preferred

The normal work week for shift assignment is Monday-Friday. The hourly rate of pay for this unionized position is $35.58 / hour (wage under review) plus 17.4% in lieu of all benefits including sick time, vacation, statutory holidays, and pension.
