RAPS is Seeking a Part Time Caregiver to Assist a Quadriplegic (E18)
Location: Stony Plain, AB
Days/Hours:
Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm
Rate of Pay: $21.00/hour (day shift)
Saturday 8:30pm-10:30pm
Sunday 8:30pm-10:30pm
Rate of pay: $22.50/hour (evening shift)
Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to: transfers using a ceiling lift or Hoyer lift, personal care (bathing, dressing, feeding assistance, oral hygiene), catheter care, bowel routine (suppositories, digital stimulation), medication administration, housekeeping (laundry), ROM, encouragement, and companionship. Providing transportation in an accessible minivan to and from errands/appointments may be required.
Qualifications and Other Requirements: Must have a recent criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to drive an accessible minivan. Experience and/or education in the health care field is not required, but will be considered an asset. Applicants must be physically able to perform the job duties, and must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Ideal candidate will be cheerful, motivational, and willing to learn.
