The Company

Aqua-Tech (www.aquatech-canada.com) is the Canada-wide master distributor for Lochinvar boilers and water heaters (except Quebec). We also represent Security Chimney Systems / DuraVent PolyPro Venting Systems in the Greater Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario.

Our Burlington head office has more than 70,000 square feet of warehouse and office space and our satellite locations in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia and Edmonton, Alberta service the Western Canadian marketplace.

The Position

The Technical Sales Representative will manage a Central Ontario territory (generally; Mississauga to Belleville and up to Barrie). They will be responsible for developing and cultivating a customer base consisting of mechanical contractors, engineers, developers and other key individuals involved in making mechanical systems equipment decisions on both small and large-scale building projects including but not limited to;

· Travelling within the designated Central Ontario area to visit potential clients

· Conducting site visits to verify and document equipment conditions and provide recommendations for replacement and troubleshooting systems.

· Organize and participate in regional trade shows and training seminars

· Negotiating tender and contract terms directly with contractors and distributors to meet both client and company needs

· Preparing, and submitting quotations in a strategic manner

· Meeting regular sales targets including the analysis of costs to ensure profitability

Education

· Post-secondary degree (Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) with a specialization in heating/plumbing preferred

Qualifications

· 5+ years of proven sales experience on large transactions for products or services in the hydronics industry and/or mechanical equipment fields

· Experience with the tendering process and selling to mechanical contractors, engineers and/or developers in the mechanical or HVAC industry

· Knowledge of hydronic system design and equipment selections

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus computer proficiency

· Past employment experience within the HVAC construction industry preferred
