Landscaping Lead Hand
Location: Kitchener - Waterloo, ON
Pay: $21.00-$26.00
Shift: 7:00am-5:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a fulltime Landscaping Foreman for our client located in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.

As a Landscape Labor Foreman with experience in landscaping, hardscaping, you will be responsible for managing a crew of workers and overseeing the installation of hardscaping projects, property maintenance, gardening arrogation & general cleanup. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in construction, hardscaping, and landscaping.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a crew of workers to ensure timely completion of landscapes & hardscaping projects
• Oversee all aspects of hardscaping installations, including excavation, grading, drainage, and finishing
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and meets safety standards
• Train and mentor crew members to improve their skills and productivity
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Order materials and supplies as needed
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members
• Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in construction, hardscaping, and landscaping
• Experience managing a crew of workers
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid-steer loaders, excavators, and compaction equipment
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects- up to 50lbs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Education and Training: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Additional training or certification in hardscaping, construction, or landscaping is a plus.

Working Conditions: This is an outdoor job that requires physical labor and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions. The work may be physically demanding and may require lifting and carrying heavy objects. Working hours may vary depending on the project and may include weekends or overtime.
