IT Director (Infrastructure)

As the Director of IT (Infrastructure), you will focus on setting the strategic vision for the infrastructure team, ensuring that our electronic information is secure and directing the team to continuously improve the company infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the strategic vision, plans, and budget for the infrastructure department within the Information Technology division of Canon Canada
  • Monitor projects within the infrastructure team; ensuring that there is a flow of communication between the infrastructure team and business units.
  • Coach, mentor, and educate direct reports and any other member as required, while fostering a positive environment and encouraging everyone to take a leadership role
  • Review and approve vendor solution evaluations
  • Maintain a strong relationship with Canon USA IT and Canadian business units and facilitate cooperation between all stakeholders on special projects
  • Align IT initiatives with the plans of the business units and company
  • Ensure that Canadian IT policies and standards for the specific departments align with Canon USA and review and approve all new and updated policies

To Succeed, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or in Business Management
  • Minimum of 3 years in IT Management
  • Advanced Analytical skills are necessary to understand business needs, evaluate and approve solutions
  • Familiarity with MPLS, SDWAN, TEAMS, General Security Protocols, Oracle
  • Solid communication skills
  • Understanding of finance, accounting, sales and marketing is required to effectively support corporate and business needs
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Certification in CPA, PMP, CBAP and CISS are considered an asset

HYBRID WORK
  • This position offers a Hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office Mondays and Wednesdays each week, with the ability to work from home for the remainder of the week (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance)
  • When working from home, a reliable internet connection is required. Remote work is supported with cloud-based applications and collaboration tools
