Mara Lumber Home Building Center is a busy and vibrant work environment that is looking for a self-starting, high energy individual to fill our inventory associate position immediately.

Duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

Merchandising:

• Recreate the merchandise presentation as illustrated in the planogram designs.
• Ensure displays are properly functioning, clean, priced, down-stocked, front-facing, and detailed.
• Maintain an efficient flow of merchandise from the back room to the sales floor.
• Organize back-room product and follow back-room inventory management processes.
• Update prices on merchandise, bins, displays, etc. as necessary.

Inventory Control

• Review negative on hand reports and investigate variances as required for management.
• Review no location reports and report to management as required.
• Review discontinued and backordered products reports and follow procedures according to company policies.

General Tasks

• Attend store meetings, training sessions, etc., as required.
• Watch for shoptheft and take action, according to store policy.
• Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance to provincial and federal safety legislation, as well as use of good common sense. Report any potential hazards and unsafe behavior to management in order to have the situation corrected.

Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
