The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant for our Langley, BC office.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner Canada, this position provides full cycle HR support services including business administration services. The preferred HR Assistant responds accurately and promptly to all employees to help support the functional Business Units within Canada in the areas of recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, report preparation, and leave administration, with focus on HRIS and soon to be Ceridian Dayforce. The HR Assistant will process handle employee changes helps facilitate onboarding offboarding processes within HRIS and delegates inquiries to the centers of expertise within the Global HR Services department.

  • With good business acumen, processes maintain and organizes all actions and functions in the HRIS which includes new hires, terminations, employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and types of leaves
  • Processes information within HRIS, delegates inquiries with the COE’s within the global HR department
  • With credibility maintain the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of personnel files and HRIS data
  • Provides support to the BU’s, HRBP and Recruiter on recruitment initiatives including on-boarding offboarding practices
  • Helps support the University student coop programs; plans and organizes college recruiting activities, including orientations, events, networking with colleges and universities, managing databases, and coordinating interviews
  • Provides draft edits to BU’s and support in all programs and policy administration as first point of contact
  • Provides research and general business administration support on compensation benefits and total rewards
  • Provides HR support for career management process and systems
  • Maintains and prepares Keller Canada organizational charts and ad hoc data analytics reporting as needed
  • Assists with coordination and administration of training and facilitation plans/ programs
  • Generate weekly and monthly reporting and keep shared dashboards up to date
  • Be an ambassador of the Keller Canada Care Culture Committee and live company culture and values
  • Be an ambassador of the Keller Canada’s Ravings Fan Peer to Peer Recognition Program
  • Be an ambassador of the Keller Canada Employee Wellness and Employee Well Being Committee
Qualifications:
  • Preferred CPHR or working towards designation
  • Must be willing and able to travel within Canada as required
  • Preferred two-(2) years’ experience in HR within a construction unionized environment, or civil engineering firm, and experience with Ceridian Dayforce.

  • Proficient in MS Office; includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Teams
