Graphic Designer (11 Month Contract)

Reporting to the Sales Management group, the highly skilled Graphic Designer will provide direction, develop, and execute graphic and web design for the two Construction Manufacturing companies. You will be mentoring and guiding the Marketing team, ensuring standards, quality, and creativity throughout all projects and Marketing tasks.

This role is in Fort Macleod, AB in the heart of the Industrial area. We are ideally situated at the crossroads of Highway 2 & 3 for commuters in adjacent areas. Many team members live 40-60 km out of town and commute each day for work!

Core Responsibilities:

- Work with the Sales Management group to develop, review and approve graphic and web design, email marketing, social media graphics, and a variety of signage and print project, internally and externally, that align with the company’s brand standards

- Content generation including photography, videography and organization of projects for use on website, newsletter, emails and social media marketing-

- Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with internal and external clients

- Creation and editing of brochures, web pages, product campaigns and advertising

- Analyze and provide clear communication to Sales development teams and stakeholders to support them during product development

- Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to promote quality design and productivity

- Work on other Marketing tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

- A working portfolio showing graphic and web design background

- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite/Illustrator

- Strong eye for design and layout

- Experience with photography and videography

- Expert knowledge of methods and techniques of graphic design layout

- Strong knowledge in all aspects of Web Design (WordPress, Photoshop, Divi, Pro Theme, etc.)

- Strong copywriting skills with excellent use of grammar and spelling

- Expertise in proofing and ability to provide concrete decisions

- Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks and to complete items on time

- Strong understanding of digital advertising (Google, Facebook Ads, etc.)

- High regard for quality assurance.

Reporting Relationship

- Immediate reporting relationship is to the Sales Management group

Working Relationships

- Close working relationship with Marketing Coordinator

- Working relationships with the Management & Sales groups

- Secondary support to all personnel for the Marketing Coordinator

Job Type

- Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
