*Driver/Operator*

We are looking for a full-time Driver/Operator for one of our clients in Schomberg, ON. We are looking for a motivated Driver/Operator who has an interest in civil work and underground tunneling, including sewer and watermain installation. The ideal candidate would be able to drive materials to site, assist with the setup of jobs and either work as a topman or operator of the boring machine. Previous experience with operating a Richmond/American/Barbco boring machine an asset. We are looking for someone who can fulfill multiple roles in a small company who has an interest in growing into a position of leadership on one of our operational crews.

Responsbilities:

• Drive material and equipment to various work sites
• Assist with loading and unloading material and equipment from flat bed truck
• Drive moderate distances multiples times a day
• Identify any issues being encountered with vehicles operated
• Be responsible for the addition of fuel, oil, water, air, etc. as required
• Clean, lubricate and make minor repairs to trucks and equipment
• Keep immediate work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Observe all safety regulations for the safe performance of duties
• Operate Barbco/American/Richmond jacking and boring machines
• Assist on site in any capacity required by the foreman in the role of a topman
• May occasionally be requested to assist within the tunnel itself if dealing with a manpower shortage on site or in the capacity of assisting to setup the worksite for crews
• Measure line and grade of tunnel using laser equipment
• Be responsible for the care of all tools on the job site

Requirements:

• DZ – Class 5 License
• Previous experience operating a boring machine is an asset
• Experience with maintenance and repair of civil work equipment is an asset
• Minimum of two years experience in civil work/construction environment

Location: Schomberg, ON

Salary: $24-$26 per hour (depending on experience)

Shift: Morning Shift

Monday- Friday

Timings:10-12 hour Shift
