INTRO
Provides general records management and document control services to ensure CNL’s information assets are managed in accordance with well defined policies, procedures, processes and practices in order that records may be retrievable in the future to support department requirements.

DUTIES

  • Conduct quality verification on formal documents to ensure conformity with Information Management standards.
  • Conduct verification on all other types of documents entered in the system to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Acts as the main contact to answer routine questions, obtain and provide information to stakeholders within and outside the organizations ensuring timely and accurate response.
  • Format documents on behalf of client, including building simple forms
  • Provides backup support to others in branch
  • File formal correspondence, Software Code, Analysis Data

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • Successful completion of secondary school (Grade 12) with 2-3 years of related experience or college diploma in a related discipline and one year experience.

Experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe to filter reports, capture documents in PDF format, format documents, and prepare them for archival, modify existing procedures and create flowcharts.

Abilities and Skills

  • General knowledge of the internal database to search, validate, issue, archive and process documents.
  • General knowledge of company and divisional standards of document control, records management and archival of engineering/project records and their associated documentation.
  • Detail-oriented to identify discrepancies and errors in formatting and coding of documentation as well as any inconsistencies in metadata and records.
  • Oral and written communication skills to relay information one-on-one to interpret existing procedures to customers and coworkers.
  • Tact and courtesy in dealing with internal customers.

Job/Industry Specific Knowledge

  • Ability to get and maintain Level 2 Security Clearance.
  • Works towards the Records Management Certification.

Location of Work

  • Remote (Category A – fully remote, no need to be onsite)
    • This role is based out of CNL’s Chalk River site, however the primary work location will be remote. Although this role is considered to be fully remote, presence at the Chalk River site may be needed on occasion and will be determined by the manager, based on internal client and project needs. CNL may require travel from time to time, as necessary.
