More about the Position

We are looking for an individual with strong WFM expertise to join our Ceridian (Dayforce) Implementation team. THinK Best Practice is Ceridian’s Titanium Partner since 2020.

The successful project manager will:

• Provide advice and support for HCM system implementation projects, primarily providing oversight on implementing Ceridian Dayforce Time/Workforce Management, and/or Payroll, HR, Benefits, and Talent Management.
• Assist client and consultants during all phases of system implementation projects.
• Utilize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to manage large and small scale HCM projects.
• Create and manage detailed project plans to keep projects in scope and under budget.
• Manage and ensure execution of all implementation project tasks adhering to Ceridian Dayforce and/or THinK Best Practice’s Hybrid methodology to include; working with client and consultants to design business processes, gather functional and reporting requirements, build/configure system according to client requirements, and support testing, data conversion and integration development efforts.
• Manage fixed cost and time and materials based project budgets.
• Be a system expert on Ceridian Dayforce product/application; continually learn and stay current on all features/functions to provide maximum value to the client.
• Working with appropriate THinK Best Practice team members, develop and promote use of work procedures, tools, methodologies and processes.

• Communicate with project team members regarding project milestones, risks, issues, and status.

• Manage the full project life-cycle implementation.
• Lead workshops to collect client specifications and to provide industry standards.
• Ensure consultants configure the application based off client specifications.
• Coordinate implementation solutions teams (configuration, IT, product ...).
• Lead steering committees and follow-up meetings.
• Identify and analyze project risks & dependencies.
• Control customer delivery and validate customer go-live.
• Measure project success and identify improvements needed.
• Stay abreast of new features and products released.
• Contribute to maintain and grow our internal team knowledge.
• Strong experience in implementing HR & Payroll solutions.

Competencies:

• Proficiency / exposure to application implementation, with understanding of business process and data interrelationships and configuration impact.

• Ability to gather and interpret client business needs and communicate requirements to vendors, etc.
• Experience in project management by leading project activities and associated team members.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve configuration and functional business issues.
• Ability to prioritize / plan work activities and manage multiple projects with a focus on results. Monitors and ensures project activities are progressing as scheduled (and within defined scope).
• Displays strong verbal and written communication. Communicates openly, honestly, and respectfully with diverse audiences. Strong listening skills.
• Strong people skills. Build trust and relationships and create a collaborative/consultative style with clients. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with team/colleagues.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

• Ability / willingness to travel (approx.: 30%).

• Strong oral and written communications.
• Excellent client presentation skills.
• Technical basis for understanding SAP &/or Ceridian Dayforce solutions (solution architecture, database and security).
• Flexibility, versatility and responsiveness.
• Sense of organization, discipline.
• English and another language (Spanish / French) is desirable.

Education/Experience:

• 5 years of HCM industry experience. Solid understanding of Time and Attendance, Payroll, HR, and/or Benefits regulations/rules. Understanding of Payroll regulations. Strong WFM expertise.

• Knowledge of leading HCM, Payroll and Time systems (SuccessFactors, Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, UltiPro etc.). Ceridian Dayforce system experience, preferred.
• Related industry designation a plus
