The permanent teaching assignment will commence September 5, 2023.

Subjects: Grade 9 Guitar & Grade 11 History

This teaching position requires an individual who embraces collaboration and “team-teaching” and who will model effective
and visionary educational practices that nurture student needs to: explore and create; connect purposefully with nature and
their environment; involve themselves directly in citizenship-based service learning opportunities in the community; and be
engaged in rich curriculum-focused study of the world around them. We are looking for innovative teachers who share Louis

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: •
Permanent Manitoba Teaching Certificate •
Bachelor of Education required •
Bachelor of Music or related post-secondary preferred •
Proficiency in facilitating programing that ensures student’s deeper learning through:

  • Knowledge and application of Manitoba Education curriculum
  • Design of instructional and assessment practices that engage student learning
  • Application of Indigenous teachings and perspectives
  • Programming for students who are English as an Additional Language learners
  • Knowledge, understanding and application of inclusive pedagogy
  • Use of inquiry/project-based learning
  • Promotion of innovation and creativity
  • Active collaboration between students and adults, and with colleagues, locally and globally
  • Inclusion of student voice and student choice
  • Leveraging technology as a learning tool
