Job Description

The primary function of this position is to provide assistance to the Customer Service and Accounting departments while ensuring customer satisfaction. This means the ability to manage incoming call traffic and communicate efficiently with appropriate personnel. It is important that the person in this function is polite and portrays good business etiquette to best represent the interests of Canavac Systems Inc.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming calls
  • Data entry – logging serial numbers
  • Processing shipping labels
  • Entering orders from an online portal into our inhouse order system
  • Scanning documents
  • Assist customers with warranty replacements
  • Monitor the Customer Service email account
  • Have an understanding of the products we sell in order to assists customers with product specific questions and troubleshooting
  • Working collaboratively with Customer Service representative and Shipping department to ensure orders get processed and shipped in a timely manner
  • Sending monthly accounts receivable statements to customers
  • Following up on past due payments with customers
  • Filing invoices and packing slips
  • Invoicing customers for additional freight fees
  • Entering invoices into the accounting system
  • Updating inventory levels on a third party order platform

Education and Experience

  • Completion of High School
  • Completion of college or related experience in business administration
  • 1 year of administrative experience is an asset
