Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Technician will perform a variety of user support and Active Directory account administration tasks. This is an on-site position at Lasalle College.

Location: In person - LaSalle College - 2000 Sainte-Catherine W, Montreal, QC H3H 2T2.
Hours: Monday to Friday (7:30am to 8pm) - Rotating schedule with the IT team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond to requests and support enquiries by phone or email;
  • Process requests from our centralized ticketing system Octopus;
  • Support users in the applications and software used by the company;
  • Configure, install and support software, computers, printers and other computer equipment;
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the computer equipment and see to the maintenance and repair of the latter;
  • Ensure the proper functioning of office software, including Office 365, assist users and ensure optimal adherence to LCI Education's standard collaboration tools;
  • Administer user accounts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma (or attestation of college studies) in computer science;
  • 2 to 3 years experience in technical support;
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and MAC operating systems;
  • Experience in managing Office 365;
  • Knowledge of networking and telephony technologies;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English. Spanish is an asset;
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Availability to work days and evenings;
  • Knowledge of the Octopus ticketing system (an asset) or experience working with an equivalent tool;
  • ITIL V3 certification (an asset).
  • Excellent customer service;
  • Ability to communicate verbally or in writing with users;
  • Ability to explain technical issues to users with little technology expertise;
  • Patience and courtesy;
  • Energetic and motivated to succeed;
  • Ability to manage priorities;
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required;
  • Desire to learn and stay current with computer technologies.
