Independent Practitioner Opportunity

CommuniCare Therapy is a therapist owned and operated accredited company based in Ottawa- Carleton and proudly serving the Eastern Ontario region since 1992 as a service provider for Home and Community Care Support Services and Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. More than 140 clinicians comprise our dynamic team of, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Registered Dietitians and Social Workers.

CommuniCare Therapy has been working with Independent Practitioners for over 25 years and provide service in the patient’s most important environment – their home or school.

We have immediate opportunities for Communicative Disorder Assistants (CDA) to work with our Speech and Language Pathologists in our adult home-based care programs. Part time positions are currently available with the potential to grow the positions.

Opportunities are available in the following locations

South East LHIN area

· 401 corridor from Gananoque to Brockville /Prescott and surrounding areas

As an Independent Contractor Communicative Disorder Assistant with CommuniCare Therapy you can expect:

All applicants require the following:

  • Completion of a Communicative Disorders Assistant College training program or equivalent experience .
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • A successful Vulnerable Sector Screen.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Cell phone and computer for personal use.
  • Up to date vaccinations.
  • Previous experience working as a CDA is preferred.
  • Bilingualism or proficiency in other languages are considered assets.

Anticipated Start Date: as soon as possible

All PPE is provided by CommuniCare Therapy and COVID protocols are strictly adhered to. Proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 and its variants is a condition of hiring.
