Brandt is currently seeking an Office Administrator in our Creston, BC location. This position is responsible for general office duties and providing support to the sales, service, and parts department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • General office duties
  • Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, candidates, and other parties
  • Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization
  • Coordinate with the Service and Parts departments in relation to sales activities
  • Provide support to the service department: opening work orders, maintaining records, preparing reports, processing warranty/product improvement claims
  • Administration of sales and inventory related items
  • Type forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary
  • Receive and distribute all forms of paper correspondence
  • Where necessary, assist in the compilation of data for various reports
  • As a front-line worker, present a positive and professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions
  • Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence
  • Ensure the necessary office supplies are stocked and obtained at the best possible price
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills
  • Experience working on a multi-line switchboard is considered an asset
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Experience working on a multi-line switchboard is considered an asset
  • High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • 2-4 years of direct work experience in an office administration capacity preferred
