Clinic Receptionists - COVID, Cold and Flu Clinic (CCF Clinic) Job at WellFort

WellFort is seeking to hire Part time Temporary Receptionists to join our team! This is a contract position (0.2 FTE)
Starts immediately till March 31, 2023


2 Days per Week – Saturdays and Sundays 4hrs shift (Possibility of increased hours in the future)

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule and enter all client appointments into Accuro Scheduler
Receiving appointments from online portal and entering them into Accuro
Book, coordinate and reschedule appointments as needed
Communicate with clients who are booking appointments the instructions needed for their appointments.
Provide support to the clients if needed and connecting them with other COVID supports.
Make reminder calls and follow up calls after their tests.
Work in conjunction with clinicians to accommodate scheduling requests
Verify or obtain up-dated patient demographics as directed
Attend staff meetings and training updates as required
Upon the organizational and provincial needs you may be required to assist with duties in other programs, mobile clinics, and outreach or to complete other responsibilities off-site.
Complete administrative duties as per assigned and other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College diploma in Office Administration or Business Administration or equivalent
demonstrable experience
  • Proven work experience as a Customer Service, Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Minimum two years’ experience working in a community based health setting
  • Proficiency with computers and various software programs including EMR (experience working with Accuro is an asset)
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proven Customer Service skills and experience with strong customer service focus
  • Experience working with communities and individuals who face barriers accessing tradition health care institutions such as poverty, discrimination, mental health and substance use issues.
  • Excellent written communication and oral skills that meet the needs of the individual and/or community at the appropriate literacy level
  • Experience working with confidential and time sensitive documents and information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to think critically and act logically to evaluate situations, solve problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize work effectively and under pressure
  • Ability to speak languages relevant to the residents of the organization’s community is an asset
The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to participate in WellFort’s
commitment to becoming an inclusive, barrier free health centre and an ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
This position requires flexibility in hours of work to support accessible program service delivery
and our hours of operation. As such the position might entail evening and weekend work.

employment start date. Acceptable proof is a Ministry of Health Dose Administration Receipt(or such other proof of vaccination that the Province of Ontario sanctions). This can be obtained through the Provincial portal https://covid-19.ontario.ca/proof-covid-19-vaccination.
The requirement to be fully vaccinated is subject to the Ontario Human Rights Code. If the
candidate is unable to vaccinate for a reason protected by the Code, a request for accommodation can be requested and written proof satisfactory to the organization will be required.
