An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Designer / Drafter. We are looking for someone with passion and drive, who is highly organized and can ensure that our high standard of quality is maintained. This role is based in our Burlington Office. Please note we moved in to a hybrid model and there is flexibility to work from home.

About the role

• Prepare 3D civil / earthwork model and 2D civil drawings (profiles sections, details) for industrial and mining projects. Specific tasks include site plan, grading and bulk earthwork, drainage, roads, parking lots, sewage collection, water distribution, and stormwater management.
• Assist with redlines/revisions for in-progress and completed designs.
• Interface with other disciplines (Structural, process, layout, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure civil drawings incorporated other discipline requirements.
• Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedback
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies and sub-consultants to facilitate/expedite design completion.

About you

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized collage.
• +7 years experience in civil design and drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting is a must.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D modeling and design is a must.
• Experience in municipal design, construction/contract administration is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams is a must
• Structural, architectural design experience will be an asset.
