Wind Turbine Technician Job at Soo Foundry & Machine
SFM Wind (a division of Soo Foundry & Machine) is seeking ambitious individuals to fill a Wind turbine technician position. Someone with established safe work practices, flexible schedule, willing to travel, and eager to learn; looking to join a team to provide a variety of services on multiple wind turbine platforms.
This position includes great working and learning opportunities such as; Major component exchanges, internal gearbox repair, annual service and maintenance, bolt torque & tension, various inspections including blade, gearbox, and main bearings etc. With new challenges and problems to solve on a regular basis.

This position includes full pension & benefits package; opportunities to work across Canada with the majority of work requirements in the South Western Ontario region. Paid travel & accommodations.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma with 2 yrs. experience or College Diploma in related or applicable field
- Comfortable working at heights 80m – 120m
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Physically fit and in good healthy
- Relocate to Chatham/Kent OR Goderich Area
- Valid drivers License with clean driving record
- Hold a current passport or able to obtain
