Duties:

Development

• Develop and implement concepts and procedures for multiple websites for our clinics and hospitals across Canada
• Write and modify user-friendly navigation, interface elements, and visual elements for websites
• Integrate multimedia components such as images, 360 degree tours, embeddable third-party custom codes, and videos
• · Ensure all websites abide by the respective hospital’s brand identity and messaging

Testing and Optimization

• Use analytics data to test security and ensure optimal user experience
• Maintain and update websites to ensure the quality, accuracy, and relevancy of content
• Ensure websites are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities (and be in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act)
• Troubleshoot and debug websites to resolve issues and improve performance
• Ensure all SEO-relevant best practices are considered both on the back end and the front end
• Optimize GBP (Google Business Profile) listings and monitor GBP metrics

Technical Integration and Support

• Collaborate with designers and hospitals or clinics to design websites, improve functionality, and resolve technical issues
• Document processes and decisions for future reference and to ensure consistency in design work

Requirements:

• Fluent in English and experience in the veterinary industry are a must
• 3-5 years’ experience with website development and SEO (search engine optimization)
• Knowledge of the CMS platforms such as Kentico and WordPress
• Advanced knowledge of SEO and tools such as Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster, Google Tag Manager (GTM), Looker Studio, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
• Knowledge of SEM (search engine marketing) and tools such as Google AdWords
• Knowledge of HTML programming and Adobe Dreamweaver
• Knowledge and experience with user experience (UX), design, content, and layout and ability to analyze and report on analytics such as bounce rate, engagement, and other web metrics
• Knowledge on how social media impacts local SEO and traffic, and best practices for GBP (Google Business Profile)
• Stay current with new web technologies and design trends on different platforms, including mobile and desktop
