Prevost, a member of the Volvo Group, is currently seeking a Warranty Manager. The position is based in St-Nicolas, with remote work.

The opportunity

Our Warranty Manager manages all activities of processing customer warranty claims and supplier warranty recovery. He is responsible for the preparation, introduction and application of warranty policies. He ensures the registration of warranties for all product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all warranty claim processing activities for all product lines.
  • Reviews and approves warranty claims in accordance with policies.
  • Negotiates settlement agreements with clients to meet mutual needs.
  • Manages supplier warranty recovery activities in accordance with negotiated agreements.
  • Structures and coordinates the management of the warranty claim module in the company's operating system, the warranty database, and the online warranty software.
  • Responsible for the process of receiving and storing warranty returns, as well as return shipments to suppliers.
  • Manages activities related to the registration of product warranties and changes of ownership.
  • Writes and prepares warranty policies based on the company's business plan, competition products and the direction of the Volvo Group.
  • Prepares and distributes statistical reports of warranty and recovery expenses to suppliers.
  • Analyzes and performs warranty cost simulations for new customer warranty requests, including contracts.
  • He manages budgets for current and future warranties.
  • Advises clients on procedures related to warranty claims; measures the uniformity and the application of those procedures; perform network training as needed.
  • Manages warranty website documentation.
  • Secure the standardization of operational processes, management practices as well as the possibilities of synergy with the Volvo group.

Your profile

  • College diploma in a field of study related to administration, customer service, mechanics or training deemed equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in warranty management or customer service.
  • Good technical knowledge of the automotive / heavy duty sector or other.
  • Bilingual English and French
  • Ability to negotiate with customers and suppliers
  • Must be able to communicate adequately in any situation
  • Customer focus
