ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION TEAM LEADER


The Opportunity:

We are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Team Leader to join our dynamic team at the Irving Pulp & Paper Mill based in Saint John, NB.

As an E&I Team Leader, you will supervise the day-to-day activities of 15-20 dual ticketed tradespersons working on a state-of-the-art control system and associated equipment. You will look after the time entry, administrative tasks, management of priorities, collaborating with multiple departments daily, along with assisting with Capital Project work as well.

Occasionally in this role you will be required to assist technicians in their day-to-day troubleshooting activities.

You Have:

  • Proven Leadership abilities and Supervision experience in a unionized environment
  • Ideally a dual ticketed (Instrumentation and Electrical) tradesperson or Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineering Technologist with 3-8 years of Industrial experience
  • DCS experience, ideally with Emerson and Honeywell equipment
  • Extensive relevant experience with Electrical Controls Systems, Instrumentation and Power Systems
  • Self-motivated and flexible
  • Sound problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Well-developed written and verbal communications skills
  • Mechanical equipment knowledge and troubleshooting abilities an asset
