Position Overview

Reporting to the Visual Merchandising Manager, the Visual Merchandising Specialist (VMS) is responsible for planning windows and displays for all stores across the country to maximize visual impact and aim to showcase UNIQLO as an innovative retailer.

The primary role of the VMS is to support the Visual Merchandising Manager with creating new window plans and instore displays and to continuously communicate with cross functional teams to ensure continuity between all forms of communication to the customer.

Job Description

  • Create window displays, instore props and decorations for all stores following the appropriate guidelines
  • Plan installations and communicate daily with external vendors
  • Supports installations in stores along side Visual Merchandising Manager and Team
  • Supports training any Visual members Visual Production related actions
  • Engage in walkthroughs to support with guideline execution for window and instore plan
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicating with internal stakeholders to set expectation timelines and ensuring projects are executed on time and in budget
  • Communicate effectively, ensure timely, consistent communication with all lines of business
  • Manage invoices/POs and monitor costs and work within budget
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma/Certificate in a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of retail and visual merchandising experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external groups
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage several projects at the same time while effectively assessing priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze overall sales and inventory reports
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, and Windows including Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
