The Position

We are looking for a passionate tutor who has a strong background in Mathematics that can tutor high-school students in grades 9-12 who are taking International Baccalaureate (IB) math. Candidates must have previous experience tutoring students in IB math, and have a thorough understanding of the IB math curriculum. This position will be completely remote and all tutoring will be done online. This position is primarily intended for University/Teacher's College students and recent graduates. You must be an Ontario, Canada resident to apply.

Your Role:

• Provide online Math tutoring sessions through our online learning platform to high-school students in Ontario
• Observe and evaluate a student's skill level to determine progress and work towards improvement with the help of our tutoring program
• Work alongside parents/guardians to create a personal academic plan or timeline for the student
• Help students in their area of need such as homework completion, getting ahead in class, learning new concepts, etc.
• Be able to relate to the student and act as a mentor to them

Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed or field of study)
• Prior IB math tutoring or teaching experience in Ontario is required
• Good knowledge of the IB math curriculum
• Have access to a computer and a stable internet connection
• Generally be available during evenings on school days and weekends

Tutoring Sessions
Tutors can create their own schedule based on client preference and personal preference. Tutors can accept and decline tutoring opportunities but should be available to work with a minimum of 3-4 clients.
