This position is responsible for employees assisting the Toolroom and Press department as required with die retrieval, washing, set ups and other basic duties.
Day Shift, starting rate $20.00/hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleans dies
- Carries out tasks delegated by the Toolroom Lead hand and/or designate
- Maintains work areas in a clean and organized manner
- Ensures timely completion of assigned tasks
- Assists toolroom with lot number changes, minor tooling repairs, opening and closing tools, etc.
- Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customers
- Open/close tools/dies
- Put job books/flags/TCRs (Tool Change Request) on next tools to be worked on
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Less than 1 year of work-related experience.
- Valid Crane License Preferred
- Tool experience an asset
- Press Experience an asset
- Mechanical Aptitude
