CLM Counselling and Psychotherapy is a growing private practice in Carleton Place Ontario serving children, youth, individuals, couples and families to support them in making positive changes in their lives. We provide evidence-based psychotherapy and are currently expanding to meet the growing needs of our community. There is an opening for an Associate Clinician to provide Clinical Social Work to individuals (children, youth, adults) couples and families. The position is suitable for an experienced clinician who is passionate about helping others, and who has a sound knowledge of psychotherapy, with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidenced based treatment such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapy and trauma-informed practices. The position is offered as part-time with the flexibility to increase hours if desired, at pace that works for you. Currently, the practice requires a therapist to work partime in the evening/s during the week. This has potential and opportunity to grow and change in the future.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Social Work or Registered Psychotherapist
· Membership in the Ontario Association of Social Workers/ College of Psychotherapists in good standing
· Holds current and valid malpractice insurance
· Strong knowledge and experience in evidence-based therapy with children and
families and/or adults/ couples
- 3-5 years experience working in a therapeutic setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Providing psychotherapy to children/youth/families/couples and individuals presenting with a
range of challenges and concerns
· Maintain notes and other records in accordance with relevant college standards and
legislation
· Communicate with other professionals as needed in providing service to clients
