The Other Bird is a hospitality family that includes The Mule & Rapscallion & Co. (Hamilton, ON), Burro (Burlington, ON), The Mule - London & Hunter & Co. (London, ON), The Mule - Port Dover (Port Dover, ON), and the incoming The Mule - Cambridge (Cambridge, ON).

The Job:
We are looking for a new support staff member to join our team. What is a support staff member you ask? You would wear a couple of hats including, host, food runner, busser, bar back and you would be responsible for:
- Being passionate about delivering the best experience through attentive and friendly service
- Greeting all guests as they walk through the restaurant
- Managing and prioritizing the restaurant waitlist, and ensuring the front door is manned effectively
- Answering any incoming phone calls and politely answering any questions to the best of your ability
- Following all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Responsible for cleanliness and stocking of service areas throughout the shift
- Emptying trash and spot sweeps whenever floor needs it
- Performing opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner
- Ensuring all food is properly presented prior to running it out to a guest
- Delivering food to tables and ensuring guests have all they need
- Bussing and resetting tables with a sense of urgency
- Offering assistance to guests by clearing away dishes, glassware, and refilling beverages if needed
- Contributing to a friendly & cooperative work environment by assisting all other team members as needed
- Receiving direction from Rapscallion & Co's Management team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- SmartServe Certification is required.
- Evenings & Weekend work availability is required
- Front-of-House restaurant experience, specifically in hosting, food-running or bar-backing will be an asset.
