Position and Responsibilities


Cameco’s business technology services (BTS) department provides vital services to world-wide operations utilizing a variety of technologies to support key operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working team-player to join the Business Intelligence team. You will have opportunities to take part in impactful business projects, work with experienced professionals and gain valuable exposure in the mining industry:

  • Designing visualizations, writing reports, and developing insights from data
  • Engaging in full-stack development and deployment
  • Participating in weekly and daily sprints adhering to agile methodology
  • Working with a strong cross-functional team

Programs utilized may include:

  • SQL, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Web Services (REST API/OData), HTTP requests
  • Third party API’s (Such as MS teams, SharePoint, Salesforce)
  • Cloud-Based Development(GCP, Azure)

Education and Qualifications


Requirements of the position:

  • Currently enrolled in the University of Saskatchewan Computer Science Internship Program
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • Available for a 12 month term beginning in May 2023
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills

Assets:

  • Passion for innovation
  • Strong desire to be part of a high performing team
  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau etc.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning basics and Artificial Intelligence techniques.
