Stimpson CPA is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our energetic team. This is a great opportunity for either an intermediate or advanced student, a qualified CPA, and anything inbetween. We are a relaxed firm that focuses on outstanding client service. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of compilation engagements
- Preparation of corporate, personal and trust tax returns
- Preparation of sales tax returns
- Quarterly and monthly bookkeeping
- Assistance on special projects
Qualifications:
- Outstanding client service skills and ability to deal with clients directly
- Proven team player with a positive attitude
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Flexibility to work extended hours during demanding times of the year such as tax season. Paid overtime.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
- Experience with accounting software such as TaxCycle, Caseware and Jazzit
