Georgian Bay Spirit Co. is looking for an eager, self-starter to join our marketing team and support our social media function as a Social Media and Events Intern.

> We don’t expect you to have a lot of experience, so this is very much an entry level job, but an energetic, go-getter attitude is fundamental. You’ll be doing creative and administrative support for the marketing team, and other things that might pop-up. After all, we’re a small craft distiller that’s growing and expanding like crazy (that’s a very good thing) so we don’t fully know what’s going to come at us yet. We can promise you it will be fun, you’ll learn a lot about the beverage alcohol business, and you’ll get to work with great people!

> While not a definitive list, here are a few of the anticipated responsibilities for this role:

- Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you’ll lead the day-to-day support function for the marketing team
- Execute social media and branded content initiatives, including creation, evaluation and coordination of related materials with relevant departments.
- Provide social media analysis on a weekly basis across all platforms.
- Identify user-generated content and interact with audiences.
- Assist with photography, video content creation as opportunities arise.
- Support the Marketing team with campaign-related needs and marketing initiatives.
- Monitor social media channels for trends and opportunities.
- Assist and support staff in a variety of marketing areas, including gathering, inputting, organizing, and interpreting data for reports/presentations/meetings/projects.
- Attend and activate sampling product, engaging with consumers and capturing content through out the summer at festivals and events

Qualifications

- Must be at least 19 years of age before starting employment.
- Passionate about Digital Media and Marketing and has a good understanding of social media landscapes and best practices.
- Strong written, oral communication skills are required.
- Competence in content creation, photography/videography.
- Aware of best practices for communication in alcohol industry, familiar with provincial regulations around alcohol marketing, CRTC and ASC guidelines.
- Interest in social media and content creation is a strong asset.
- A willingness to learn while being exposed to all aspects of Digital Marketing.

- A valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle
- You reside within the Greater Toronto area
