Shipping / Receiving Supervisor Job at Topline / Armstrong Top Pack Ltd.
Armstrong Top Pack Ltd./TopLine farms a well established and growing produce warehouse is seeking a Shipping / Receiving Supervisor. The successful candidate will have 1-2 years supervisory experience, as well as direct knowledge of all distribution processes, procedures and practices.
The incumbent will be reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Manager.
The main responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the day to day operations in the department:
- Preparing for and receiving orders daily
- That product is stored accurately and efficiently
- The picking and packing of orders,
- The staging and loading of trucks,
- Ensuring the on-time departure of scheduled trucks, etc.
- Maintaining the accuracy of paperwork and databases, updating spreadsheets, and other administrative functions
- Assisting with inventory control and cycle counts
- Liaison with other departments; sales, receiving, production, office, etc.
- Responsible for the supervision of 5 -10 staff
The successful candidate must demonstrate :
- Proven supervisory experience in a distribution/production environment
- Strong attention to detail and proven leadership ability
- Intermediate computer proficiency, particularly with Excel
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing abilities
- Self-motivated; positive can-do and results-oriented attitude
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
