SETUP/PROGRAMMING LEADER - NUMERIC CONTROLLED MACHINES

Pertinent Information: Full-time direct hire opportunity with reputable and stable global manufacturing facility. Ideal candidate will have some NC programming experience along with setups and teardowns. Full details to be provided at time of interview.

Job Description

The Work Group Leader is responsible for the operation, programming and tooling setup as assigned by the department Supervisor. Responsible for the inspection of products being produced to assure conformance to all specifications and workmanship standards.

Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

• Creating and maintaining machine programs
• Working closely with the Tooling Engineer to ensure longevity of tooling
• Tooling setups and teardowns as required for part changes
• Operating assigned production machine at optimum efficiency
• Visual and dimensional quality checks using inspection gauges
• Raw material review prior to production start
• Daily maintenance on machines (lubricants, etc)
• Providing training to team members
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, including operation of other machines

Qualifications

• Five (5) + years experience with tooling setups and teardowns
• High mechanical aptitude
• Numeric controlled programming experience an asset
• Familiarity with servo motor motion preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be a problem solver with an ability to troubleshoot
• Must be able to travel to US - hold a valid passport
