The Finance Technology Delivery Team is accountable for the delivery and operational support of technology solutions to support Finance-related functions across the Canadian Tire family of companies. Our goal is to enable the Finance team to support the enterprise by providing simple, flexible solutions that are secure, scalable, supportable and resilient. We accomplish this by working together with our Finance stakeholders and collaborating effectively with our internal and external IT partners to deliver and support technology solutions.

W hat you’ll do

  • You will be responsible for the design and development of modifications to PeopleSoft Financials software and/or custom solutions developed to support specific business needs. Works closely with business analysts and/or key users, assessing business needs and determining/implementing IT solutions.
  • Perform analysis, conceptual design, development (coding) and implementation of modifications to purchased applications or custom programs to drive business value.
  • Provide expert support post-implementation.
  • Participate in the technical design and coding of interfaces, data conversions, reports, and customizations providing the required functionality not supplied by the package.
  • Collaborate with internal users, staff members, and information technology colleagues to define detailed requirements and system interfaces.
  • Translate requirements into technical design solutions.
  • Deliver technical information, support and training to internal customers to assist them in performing and improving their daily work processes.
  • Provide technical expertise to team members
  • Support consistent performance and availability in the PeopleSoft application and database environment through ongoing monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Identify areas of potential failure or risk and recommend solutions to improve or enhance the environment accordingly.
  • Provide support, technical advice and expertise to other areas within IT and Finance as it relates to the PeopleSoft environment.
  • Provide afterhours support as required for issue resolution, scheduled system maintenance, release deployments, and patching.

  • 5-10 Years’ experience in PeopleSoft Financials Development
  • 5-10 Years’ Experience working in Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise FSCM 9.2 with PeopleTools 8.54 and newer on Oracle/Linux/Windows technology stack.
  • Multiple years’ experience in development and integrations tools, including, but not limited to:
    • PeopleTools & Application Designer
    • PeopleCode
    • Application Packages
    • nVision
    • Workflow
    • SQL Tools
    • SQR
    • COBOL
    • Application Engine
    • Integration Broker
    • PeopleSoft Security
    • PS/Query
    • BI Publisher
    • Web Services using RESTful or SOAP standards
  • PeopleSoft Functional experience is an asset.
