Commissionaires – Northern Alberta Division is currently seeking exceptional security personnel to be employed at various sites within the City of Edmonton on a FULL TIME ROTATIONAL SHIFT schedule. Applicants will be required to have open availability to work different sites with a mix of day or night shifts.

Applicants must be available to work any day and at any time for rotational schedule purposes. Rotational shifts vary and could be 8, 10 or 12 hours in length depending on the schedule.

Applicants may be started on the spare board for work (on a full-time basis) then assigned permanent sites based on site availability and suitability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have an Alberta Security License or be willing to obtain.
• Capability to work a full time rotational shift schedule. Shift times, rotation, and hours vary by site
• Ability to handle a dynamic environment
• Represent the Commissionaires with a high level of professionalism and customer service skills, as well as effective communication skills in dealing with clients, emergency personnel, and the public
• Ability to work under pressure, and make sound decisions in emergency situations
• Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions including writing comprehensive reports

Essential Job Functions:

• Writing detailed and accurate reports regarding all incidents
• Providing a high degree of customer service in a dynamic and challenging environment
• Ability to de-escalate situations that may arise and liaise with emergency personnel; provide support
• Capability to complete patrols
• Capability to work a rotational shift schedule. Shift times, rotation, and hours vary by site
