• Position Title: Sand Blaster / Painter
• Work Location: Slave Lake (Mitsue Industrial Park)
• Title of manager this position reports to: Maintenance & Reliability Manager
• Positions reporting to this role: N/A
• Work Rotation (if applicable): 5 days on, 2 days off
• Work Days / Hours: Monday To Friday, 8 Hours Per Day
• Purpose Of Role: Sandblasting and preparation of parts and equipment for painting and coating.

• In addition to company policies, comply with all policies, procedures and regulations related to health, safety and the environment.
• Perform daily hazard assessments and equipment checks.
• Order and track required material and supplies to maintain an effective, functional body shop.
• To minimize waste, review items to be repaired, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan the work to be performed.
• Sand body areas to be painted. Prime and paint repaired surface.
• Clean and maintain all body shop equipment to keep it in good reliable working condition.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork and permits.
• Sandblast parts and equipment to required specifications.
• Communicate any deficiencies and safety concerns to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager.

• Minimum one-year experience in an autobody or sandblasting environment.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Experience on a skid steer or wheel loader would be an asset.
• Forklift and Aerial Work Platform certification would be considered an asset.
• Familiar with a variety of industrial coatings.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions.
• Operating knowledge of all related tools and equipment with the ability to operate in a safe and effective manner.
• Possess strong attention to detail with outstanding organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Able To Lift And Carry 50 lbs.
• Work from height. § Climbing, crouching, stooping, and working in awkward positions required.

• Must be able to wear all required and specialized PPE, including respirators and blaster hood.
• Working inside and outside in various weather conditions.
• Work involves exposure to dust and fumes.
• Working from heights, aerial platform or scaffolding.
