As our Sales Development Associate, you will…

Be Account and Responsible

As our Sales Development Associate, you will use Salesforce and a combination of other online tools to create/nurture leads to then be converted and passed to their Field Sales counterparts for qualification. You'll manage the inbound lead activity in a territory from our website as well as leads generated by Field Marketing. You will also work closely with their Field counterparts to identify target accounts that require research and prospecting.

An implicit responsibility of the Sales Development Associate is to attain an adept understanding of the Marketing Automation landscape to be used in the lead qualification process.

  • Prospecting: Strategize with AE'S to prospect Enterprise ICP accounts utilizing Zoominfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and/or other tools, and nurture them until you book a meeting
  • Research Accounts: For all identified prospect accounts, find all relevant contacts and information about the account prior to the Field Sales meeting (Account-Based Sales Development). This also includes identifying key executive contacts within the organization
  • Document and record all lead activity on the appropriate records in Salesforce
  • Identify influencers and decision-makers at target companies and nurture them
  • Manage the hand-off of leads to the Field Sales Counterparts for further qualification
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
  • Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with prospects
  • Conduct outbound outreach campaigns to pre-qualified leads
  • Provide closed-loop feedback in Salesforce to ensure continuous process optimization
  • Interface continually with Marketing Team to ensure constant sales and marketing alignment
  • Assist Account Executives with the internal routing, review, and completion of NDAs, Vendor Setup forms, Third party risk assessment, IT Security Questionnaires, Data Protection Agreements, etc.
  • Assist SVP of Sales by coordinating sales team activities and initiatives, creating, distributing, and analyzing reports from SFDC
  • Driving post-event outreach strategy for leads from Webinars, Road Shows, Conferences, etc

These are the qualifications we're looking for

  • 2-3 years of Sales Development experience
  • Salesforce experience is mandatory
  • Sales training, SalesLoft or Zoominfo experience, a plus
  • Familiarity with Marketing Automation space, a plus
  • Tech savvy and ideally experienced with cutting-edge prospecting tools
  • The highest level of integrity
  • Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player
  • Ability to prioritize daily activity based on reports, views, and dashboards driven by automation
  • Proven track record achieving measurable inside sales goals in an automated sales environment where accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required
  • Proficient with productivity tools like Google Apps, GoToMeeting
  • Strong oral and written communication

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000

Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience. MERGE's career ladders reflect department growth from Associate through Partner levels, with details of roles and responsibilities associated with each level. New hires are assigned a job level within a particular position based on these criteria and salary is set within the job level based on these criteria. Growth from one level to the next occurs when employees master their role, and are promoted into the next level, generally during salary review cycles which are posted in the employee handbook.
